Delinquent

I thought about just calling this post "Rude" but then I decided given my weakened, sickly condition (yep, I'm nursing a cold given to me, with love of course, by none other than my wonderful Dashell) that I would go a little easy on myself. But let's be honest, I asked you all to say "hi" just shy of three weeks ago. And what did I do? Did I reward you by plying you with fantastic stories and much requested videos (yes, Jamie and Diana I still owe you big)? Hell no. I got wrapped up in work, trying to nurse Dave back to health (which I am obviously not very good at given the fact that he is sick again!), out of town guests and de-Christmasing the house. Not particularly good excuses.

HIIII EVERYONE!!! Thank you so much for the big howdys. They truely made my last three weeks. Alex, Diana, GMA, Nana, Sandra, Jeffrey, GG and Jamie soooo great to hear from you!! Patricia, OMG I can't believe you found this blog. How wonderful you have a son! Please let me know how to email you so I can hear more. And Val, WOW! I can't believe that our sons birthday's are on the same exact day! How crazy. Please let me know how to reach you so we can meet! What fun! And BWUB and Lorraine I LOVE having you guys over on this blog. Yipee! I can't wait until your little guys arrive safely and we can compare boy stories!! I can't tell you how much it means to me to have all of you along for this crazy ride!!

I do have to confess, I haven't been completely honest with you as to why I am not only behind on thanking you all, but why I am also behind on posting Thanksgiving and Christmas pictures. Although we did travel quite a bit over the holidays and there was a lot of work to be done, there were a couple days between Christmas and New Years where I could of done a little catch up posting. Did I? Obviously not. My excuse.... adult dinner party!! That's right, a dinner party just for adults. Imagine that, no babies allowed. It was blissful. And in my excitment I spent a little more time than I should have decorating for it...

It was a roulette/raclette party. We all got dressed up in our finest, played a little roulette...

...and then melted a little raclette.

Yummy fun!! Nothing like stinky cheese, cured meats, pickled things and amazing friends.

I did promise to be better about posting and I will. I promise. Again. (Hopefully I'll even get to Thanksgiving before the end of January!)

Adults need time & fun, too! Yay, for adult parties! Your decorations, guests & party look beautiful. If we adults don't take some time to refresh & nourish ourselves, we can't be good parents & grandparents.

No apologies necessary, and I hope you're feeling better. Thanks for the shout out - I love visiting your blog! The party looks positively fabulous and everyone apparently had a great time as evidenced by the gigantic grins on their faces! Way to go!
